Columbus home prices rise in the second half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2017 in Columbus rose by $1,800 while total sales increased by 87.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2017, there were 30 homes sold, with a median sale price of $259,300 - a 0.7% increase over the $257,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 16 homes sold in Columbus in the second half of 2016.

The median sales tax in Columbus for the most recent year with available data, 2014, was $2,762, approximately 1.1% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2017.
