Columbus home prices rise in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in Columbus rose by $11,600 while total sales increased by 45.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 54 homes sold, with a median sale price of $266,500 - a 4.6% increase over the $254,900 median sale price for the previous year. There were 37 homes sold in Columbus in 2016.

The median sales tax in Columbus for the most recent year with available data, 2014, was $2,762, approximately 1% of the median home sale price for 2017.
