Minnesota state Sen. Jason Rarick (R-Brook Park) recently took time to thank Armed Force officers everywhere in recognition of Veterans Day on Nov. 11.
“On Veterans Day, we pay tribute to the men and women of America’s Armed Forces who have demonstrated their willingness to put country before self,” Rarick said in a press release. “On Nov. 11, our nation honors the contributions of the nearly 22 million veterans living today and all those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the name of liberty and justice.”
Rarick sought to remind one and all that the day is a time for everyone to reflect and celebrate.
“Veterans Day is not for veterans alone,” he added. “It’s a day for all Americans to be a part of, because every citizen has a role to play in carrying the legacy and burden of freedom.”
The release also served as an opportunity for residents to keep abreast of some Rarick’s recent acts and activities across the district.
Rarick also talked about a recent meeting with local Commissioners and leaders from Pine County, where he highlighted some of the struggles farmers across the county are still enduring and the need to pass the USMCA Trade Agreement.
“I was joined by Rep. Nathan Nelson and Jack Friebe from Rep. Pete Stauber’s office to learn more about farming issues in the county,” he said in the release.
Upon recently having been honored with the Minnesota Grocer’s Association Hero of the Food Industry Award, Rarick also vowed to continue advocating “for consumers, Main Street and Minnesota businesses.”
Finally, Rarick highlighted the passage of three contingent appropriation bills that were filled during end of session negotiations, paving the way for $20 million for the Disaster Assistance Contingency Account, $13 million for Metro Mobility and $30 million for Safe Schools Supplemental Aid.
