City of Anoka issued the following announcement on Jan. 14.
There will be snowshoes for up to 100lbs and up to 150lbs. Youth must have an adult present to try them and said adult must sign a waiver for the youth. Snowshoes will be available on a first come first serve bases.
Jan 20 & Feb 17 will be at George Enloe Park 12:00 - 4:00 there will be staff on site to assist, after that adults must assist youth.
Feb 18 will be at Mississippi River Community Park 12:00-2:00 there will be staff on site to assist. After 2:00 snowshoes will be brought to George Enloe warming house to be rented there.
On other dates, George Enloe warming house will have a limited amount of snowshoes available to rent (free of charge), for usage at the park. Renters must be adults renting for youth and must sign a waiver.
