Columbia Heights home prices rise in 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in 2019 in Columbia Heights rose by $16,500 while total sales decreased by 30.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2019, there were 253 homes sold, with a median sale price of $218,000 - a 8.2% increase over the $201,500 median sale price for the previous year. There were 363 homes sold in Columbia Heights in 2018.

The median sales tax in Columbia Heights for 2019 was $2,478. In 2018, the median sales tax was $2,326. This marks an increase of 6.5%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.1%.
