Centerville home prices rise in the fourth quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2018 in Centerville rose by $23,250 while total sales remained unchanged with 10 homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2018, there were 10 homes sold, with a median sale price of $266,500 - a 9.6% increase over the $243,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 10 homes sold in Centerville in the fourth quarter of 2017, as well.

The median sales tax in Centerville for 2018 was $3,348. In 2014, the median sales tax was $3,266. This marks an increase of 2.5%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.3%.
