Lexington home prices fall in September 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in September 2018 in Lexington fell by $44,500 while total sales decreased by 33.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In September 2018, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $162,500 - a 21.5% decrease over the $207,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were three homes sold in Lexington in September 2017.

The median sales tax in Lexington for 2018 was $2,480. In 2014, the median sales tax was $2,281. This marks an increase of 8.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.5%.
