CITY OF ANOKA: Boat Slips for Lease on Rum River

River

City of Anoka issued the following announcement.

The three locations are Akin Riverside Park, Riverfront Park, and Rum River North.  Each location provides a public dock with the lease slips separated by a locking gate. 

The slips at Akin Riverside Park provide boaters with access to the lower Rum River and the Mississippi River. The slips at Riverfront Park and Rum River North provide boaters access to the Wild Scenic Rum River above the dam.  

Akin Riverside Park - The slips are located on the east bank of the Rum River just upstream from the  Boat Launch and are attached to the public dock. The slips are separated from the public dock by a locking gate. The slips upstream from the gate are not available for general public use even if no boat is moored. Residents of the City of Anoka may lease a slip at Akin Riverside Park lease for $1,800 per season; Non-residents may lease a slip for $2100 per season. There are currently several slips available for lease for the 2020 season.  There are a total of 18 slips at this location.

Riverfront Park - The slips are located north of the dam in Riverfront Park, 2201 2nd Ave, Anoka.  If no slips are leased for the season, then the slips at this location are available for free daily use (no overnight mooring) providing boaters access to downtown Anoka. There are a total of 6 slips available for lease at this location. 

Rum River North - The slips are located north of Bunker Lake Blvd and are accessed from the Rum River Trail. The slips are not installed if there are no lessees for the current season.  There are a total of 6 slips available for lease at this location.
