City of Anoka issued the following announcement on May 21.
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Minnesota Statute 205.13; Subd 2, that candidate filings for the City of Anoka elected offices will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, and ends at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2020. The amount of candidate filings received will determine whether the City of Anoka will hold a municipal primary election on August 11, 2020.
Candidates for the following offices file with the Anoka City Clerk, 2015 First Avenue, Anoka, Minnesota 55303.
Regular Municipal Election to elect:
- Mayor for a term of two years.
- City Councilmember (2 seats) for a Full-term of four years each.
