Anoka County is offering a nonprofit and business relief program to help those organizations that have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Organizations can receive up to $10,000 and must submit an online application to be considered for funding, according to a press release from Anoka County Administration.
“This grant money can be used in a variety of ways by businesses, including mortgage and utility payments, payroll and reopening costs,” Scott Schulte, chair of Anoka County Board of Commissioners, said in the press release. “Anoka County is committed to supporting businesses during this difficult and unprecedented time, and this grant program is another tool we’re using to help sustain our business community.”
Organizations can currently apply for grants but must meet the following requirements: Be locally owned and operated within the county, be owned by a Minnesota resident, be in good standing with the Secretary of State and the Department of Revenue, be able to demonstrate their financial hardship, employ 50 or fewer workers and have been operating for at least 12 months before March 1.
