Democratic House candidate Amir Malik lost his bid for District 37B to Nolan West who has held the seat since 2017.
In a statement on his Facebook page, Malik thanked his supporters, adding that there was still a lot of work to be done after elections.
“Thank you for your hard work to this point. Please stay engaged. We will continue to stand for what is right and to strive to build a better future for all Minnesotans. There is more work to be done. We have a responsibility to govern and to be governed. Government of the people, by the people, for the people does not end or begin on election day, but is our collective responsibility as citizens in all aspects of our lives, every day,” he wrote.
