The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) encourages patrons to order and eat locally over the holidays as the state gets ready for the second round of COVID-19.
Officials said by taking food and using restaurants locally, citizens can promote local eateries and other companies by ordering takeout and curbside delivery.
Doing business with local companies is an easy way to encourage great businesses to flourish while having a lavish meal at home. This will help companies destroy the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
“The best way to help your local restaurants weather this time is by ordering takeout whenever you can,” said DEED Commissioner Steve Grove in a press release. “They need our support now more than ever.”
Hospitality Minnesota President and CEO Liz Rammer said hospitality businesses have been delivering happy memories to friends and families for many years.
“Help return the favor by supporting them with your takeout order today," Rammer said.
