City of Anoka issued the following announcement on Dec. 11.
Recycle your old, unwanted holiday string lights at Anoka City Hall (2015 First Ave) now through Jan. 29, 2021, M-F, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (excluding holidays). Please only bring string lights, no rope lights or any type of holiday decorations. The collection boxes are in the lower level of City Hall just off the stairwell. Place your clean bag/box of string lights in the collection boxes and we will see that the lights are properly recycled. Thank you.
