City Of Anoka issued the following announcement on Dec. 16.
Thank you all for the outpouring of generosity during our Santa, Sirens, and Friends event.
You all donated 2,746 lbs of food (that's about the weight of all of Santa's reindeer combined), which creates 2,288 meals and $1,350 (which can purchase $13,500 worth of food from food banks) for Anoka County Brotherhood Council - ACBC Food Shelf!
Along with that, over 700 items were collected for
Toysforjoy , that provides assistance for those in our community.
Thanks again to all Santa's friends that helped make this event so special. The kindness, generosity, and joy shown even grew our grinch's heart three sizes that day.
