City of Ramsey: Now Hiring – Seasonal Maintenance Workers

City of Ramsey issued the following announcement on March 1.

The City of Ramsey is hiring temporary Summer Seasonal Maintenance Workers in the Public Works Department. These individuals will assist staff with the general maintenance of streets, park grounds, trails, buildings and related facilities and equipment through the spring, summer and possibly fall months. This also includes mowing and trimming, pruning and planting trees, or working on landscape projects, maintain athletic fields, picking up trash, streets maintenance and pot hole filling and utilities maintenance.  

These are temporary, non-union positions working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. Starting in April or May and running through the Fall months. There is no guarantee of further employment after the season has concluded. All candidates must be at least 17 years of age or older, and have a valid Minnesota driver’s license in good standing. Starting pay is $13.00 to $15.00/hour depending on qualifications. First interviews will begin the week of March 21, 2022, and will continue until all positions have been filled.
