University Elementary School issued the following announcement on March 11.

Anoka-Hennepin is excited to welcome families with incoming kindergarten students!

Elementary schools across the district host a kindergarten registration event each year, between March and May. View the schedule of kindergarten registration events across the school district.

Online registration for the 2022-23 school year is now open. Visit ahschools.us/enroll to register to attend school in the fall. Back to school open houses are tentatively set at each elementary school in August. 

If you don't receive an electronic invitation or letter from your neighborhood school, it means your child or incoming kindergartner is not yet in the Anoka-Hennepin School District database:

• If your child is not in our database, please call the school serving your address. Check out the school directory for addresses and phone numbers. 
• View instructions for registering your child for kindergarten.

If you don't live within Anoka-Hennepin but would like your child to attend an Anoka-Hennepin school, you can electronically apply for enrollment through Minnesota's open enrollment program. View details at ahschools.us/enroll.
