(04/08/2022) Anoka-Hennepin hosted parents and guardians in-person and online April 7 for the sixth of seven Parent Engage 360 events this school year. The focus of the presentation and roundtable discussion was: Chemical Health Prevention.

A panel discussion including O’Neil; Cindy Doth, youth and school outreach manager with Hazelden Betty Ford; Justin Weller, Anoka County Sheriff's deputy and Andover High School resource officer; Heidi Geiss, Blaine High School school social worker; Jessica Koehler, Anoka-Hennepin parent; and student Ally Ekegren spoke following the presentation.

Parent Engage 360 events aim to provide resources to parents and guardians to support their students and others in the community. Anoka-Hennepin realizes the importance of parent engagement in maximizing student success. We hope that providing timely and helpful information through Parent Engage 360 events and the podcast series will strengthen that bond between school and home, with resources that parents and guardians can use and share with others.

The final Parent Engage 360 event will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 19 at Anoka High School. Dr. Cory Martin will hold an interactive event titled “How to Get Your Mojo Back After COVID-19.”
