Election filings have opened in the City of Ramsey for three seats - one seat for Councilmember At-Large, one seat for Councilmember Ward 1 and one seat for Councilmember Ward 3. 

The filing period opens today, May 17, and closes at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, May 31. City Hall is not open Monday, May 30, for Memorial Day.

Candidates:

•  Must be an eligible voter
•  Must not have filed for another office at the upcoming primary or general election
•  Must be 21-years of age or more upon assuming office and;
•  Must have maintained residency in the City of Ramsey for 30 days prior to the election

All candidates must file their affidavit of candidacy during the filing period which began today, May 17, through May 31. The filing fee is $5 and is done at the Office of the City Clerk at Ramsey City Hall, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW. All positions serve a four-year term. Candidate filing packets are available at City Hall.
