District partners with local businesses and non-profits to help provide backpacks for students

Anoka-Hennepin Schools has once again partnered with the United Way to help distribute backpacks and school supplies to students in need. The Anoka-Hennepin Educational Foundation (AHEF) has also stepped up with partners to provide backpacks and school supplies. The district will be distributing over 2,000 student backpacks filled with school supplies at the elementary and secondary levels.

Volunteer services coordinators and school social workers help coordinate the distribution of backpacks. Backpacks from the United Way were stuffed on July 21 at U.S. Bank Stadium where volunteers gathered to fill 50,000 backpacks with school supplies for students across the state.

The AHEF partnered with Cretex Companies, Keller Williams Classic Realty and Select Eyecare in Anoka and Coon Rapids in providing school supplies for the 2022-23 school year.
