Improvements are coming to two local parks in Coon Rapids.
The old play structures at Wildwood Park, 2005 131st Avenue, and Riverdale Park, 3356 131st Lane, will be torn down the week of September 12. Then, the week of September 19, new play structures will be installed at both parks. Watch for construction crews during the process.
Wildwood Park is located near the intersection of Shenandoah Boulevard and 131st Avenue. This park features a very nice wooded walking trail which leads to a play area and basketball court located in the woods near the center of the park. The trail continues through the park to 133rd Avenue.
Riverdale Park is one of Coon Rapids' newest parks and is located several blocks east of Round Lake Boulevard and north of Northdale Boulevard. The park includes a play area, ballfield, and basketball court.
