Human Rights Commission | City of Anoka

Anoka’s Human Rights Commission (HRC) members have researched and gathered valuable information in an effort to offer a balance of crisis and uplifting resources in one document for citizens.

The resources document was prepared and is available on the City of Anoka’s website under the Human Rights Commission (see link below). The resource is also available in print form at Anoka City Hall. It will be updated quarterly and a featured resource (example: Alexandra House) will be highlighted quarterly.

Emergency information is noted at the beginning of the document, with non–emergency contacts following. Each of the following resources are included and information is placed in order of city, county, and state in each category.

  • Medical or Mental Health
  • Domestic Violence
  • Financial & Energy Assistance
  • Food Shelves
  • Housing Assistance
  • Senior Services
  • Veteran Services
  • Voting Resources
  • Volunteering & Giving
  • Youth Services & Educational Resources
To contact the HRC, email Amy Oehlers at aoehlers@ci.anoka.mn.us or call 763-576-2712.

Please call 911 in an emergency.
