Nolan West, a Minnesota state legislator, posted a series of tweets between September 10 and September 12, 2025, addressing issues related to violence, grief, and political polarization in the United States.

On September 10, West commented on a recent tragedy involving a child named Charlie. He wrote: "Horrible. It seems like there are more deranged people every day. I hope Charlie makes it. My heart breaks for his parents especially. Thinking about your child going before you is horrific. I couldn't stop thinking about that during Speaker Hortman's funeral. Praying for".

The following day, on September 11, West responded directly to Representative Nancy Mace on social media with criticism regarding public discourse and partisanship: "You're part of the problem @NancyMace. Our country has forgotten how to grieve. It is all partisan trash all the time and its shoved in our faces every day by the algorithm that I am helping by writing this."

Continuing his commentary on September 12, West addressed what he perceives as growing division within American politics: "The lunatics in each party have gleefully shredded our social fabric for too long. We need to take action, but meaningless civility pledges are nice but do nothing. The single best actionable step people can take is policing their own side, instead of dunking on opponents."

Nolan West has served in the Minnesota House of Representatives since 2017 and has been active in discussions surrounding bipartisan cooperation and public safety initiatives within the state legislature.
