City of Blaine issued the following announcement on Nov. 11.
The City of Blaine has selected Service Line Warranties of America to offer residential homeowners an optional protection plan for their exterior water service and exterior sewer or septic lines. Many homeowners are not aware the exterior water service and exterior sewer or septic lines on their property are their responsibility. If a leak, break, or clog occurs in these lines, it would be up to the homeowner to find a plumber and pay the repair costs.
After a thorough evaluation process, Blaine staff and the Blaine City Council determined that Service Line Warranties of America offers quality coverage options and customer service. Participation in this program is completely optional and there are other providers of this type of coverage.
