On August 27, 2025, Niska posted: "Horrific news. Please pray for all the victims, families, and responders."

The following day, he reiterated the importance of community support in difficult times. On August 28, 2025, he wrote: "Especially on horrible days like today, don’t discount the power of prayer. We have tough conversations and work ahead, but hold the victims, the Annunciation community, and the state of Minnesota in your prayers."

Later that same day, Niska commented on another social media post related to the incident. He stated: "Please include whoever wrote & greenlit this grotesque post in your prayers."

Niska's remarks come as Minnesota grapples with recent traumatic events affecting local communities. The Annunciation community referenced by Niska is a parish and school located in Minneapolis that has previously served as a focal point during regional crises.
