CITY OF ANOKA: Snow Plowing And De-Icing

Snowplow

City of Anoka issued the following announcement on Dec. 9.

All city crews have been plowing and de-icing since 7 a.m. Snow fell heavily between 8-10 a.m., leaving 2+ inches of snow. Because of the timing of the snow during rush hour, we plowed as best we could around vehicles (both parked and in route). All crews will be in to re-plow and de-ice all streets beginning at 3 a.m. tomorrow morning. We will plow all streets, parking lots and sidewalks in the City as well as the Central Business District followed by all sidewalks throughout the city. We should have all city streets in good driving condition before noon tomorrow. Crews will begin removing snow piles downtown tomorrow afternoon. Please walk and drive safely. Thank you for your patience.
