City of Anoka issued the following announcement on Dec. 16.
Mississippi River Community Park in Anoka Closed.Due to a buildup of ice on the Mississippi River, the trail that runs along the river in Mississippi River Community Park is under water and has been closed. Due to the ice, staff anticipates that the trail will be closed all winter. For your safety, we ask that you avoid this area. Thank you.
