CITY OF BLAINE: Close All City Playgrounds

Close

City of Blaine issued the following announcement on April 2

The decision has been made to close all city playgrounds until further notice. As we work to slow the community spread of COVID-19 it was determined that playgrounds continue to be a gathering place even under the social distancing guidelines. Today all city park playgrounds will be taped off with caution tape and playground closed signs will be posted. Staff from public works, parks and recreation, and the police department will work to educate individuals that they find violating the closure notice. However, these staff can not be everywhere or respond to every report of a group of people gathering. The parks remain open for the use of open space and trails. Please practice social and physical distancing while using the trails.
