CITY OF ANOKA: Cancel The Annual July 3rd Fireworks Display

Fireworks

City of Anoka issued the following announcement on May 29.

The City of Anoka’s first priority is the health and safety of the public, organizers, volunteers, vendors, and its employees. Therefore, after careful thought and consideration, the Anoka City Council and city staff made the difficult decision to cancel the annual July 3rd fireworks display due to the potential spread of COVID-19. Some good news...staff is considering possibilities of adding fireworks to an event later in the year, pending the pandemic situation. Thank you for understanding. Please stay tuned to the city's website www.anokaminnesota.com for updates or changes to future city events and activities.
