City Of Blaine issued the following announcement on Dec. 30.
Blaine plow crews were out again today working on clean up and then pretreating roadways before this next round of snow began. City plow crews will be back on the roads at 2AM to start a full plow of the city roads. The city has 40 staff that cover 37 different city plow routes. If just a few staff are unavailable then substitutes such as supervisors or mechanics jump in and cover a route.
Crews have also been working to keep city parking lots and trails cleared and will work on getting to sidewalks as soon as possible. A full plow of all city roads takes between 8-14 hours depending on the amount of snow. After the all routes have been plowed, cleanup operations start at intersections, bridges, and snow storage areas. Cleanup operations should be complete within 24-48 hours after the storm.
