Anoka County issued the following announcement.
Commissioner Julie Braastad was elected vice chair of the Anoka County Board of Commissioners at its Jan. 5, 2021, organizational meeting. She was also named chair of the
Public Safety and Intergovernmental & Community Relations Committees, and vice chair of the Finance and Management Committees. Braastad will also serve on the North TH 65
Corridor Coalition; the Board of Oversight of Court-Appointed Attorneys; the Joint Law Enforcement Council, the Transportation, Benefits and Compensation, Ag Preservations
Credit Ad Hoc, Human Services, AC-RED Executive, AMC Public Safety Policy, and Regional Economic Development Executive Committees; the Midwest Regional Forensic
Laboratory Advisory Board, the Anoka County Regional Railroad Authority, and the Anoka County Housing and Redevelopment Authority. Braastad is an AMC District 10 voting
delegate, and she serves as an alternate on the AMC Board of Directors and the AMC District 10 Executive Committee. Braastad represents District 2, which includes Bethel, East
Bethel, Ham Lake, and portions of Andover and Blaine.
