Concept Plans Under Review

The City is exploring future renovation options for Al Flynn Park, one of the oldest parks in Coon Rapids. Located at 1351 100th Lane, the 40 acre park includes the clay hole and extends west to Fire Station #1. The park is scheduled for renovation in 2023. Plans could include a large picnic shelter, new playground equipment and other amenities.

The City has been soliciting feedback from the public for nearly a year and shared concept plans at the Summer in the City neighborhood meetings in June and July. Those comments have been added to an interactive map at this link. The public is invited to check out the two concept plans and add their own feedback. You are also asked to fill out this online survey by September 11 and indicate which concept plan you prefer.

More information can be found on the Al Flynn Park redevelopment project website.
